SNS Card Sketch #172

Hi everyone, I have been trying to use up what I have. I had this little adorable DiplomaBella in my stamped basket. I have had this stamp forever and ever. Recently I made this card and as I was looking for information about the stamp I realized it was so old that I could barely find any information about it! Tell me I am not alone in old stuff. Do you have oldies but goodies? Do you have any pre-stamped imagines that you either stamped extra of or...back in the good ole days I used to get together with my other scrappy friends and we would share our stamps and sometimes I would stamp some extras to be used later...well that was like 10 years ago y'all. Later is NOW!!

It is time to bash that stash. Use it up.

Here is the wonderful sketch I used from Sketch N Scrap Card Sketch #172

SNS Layout 203

Hello everyone, more fun photos from senior year in 2013. My daughter had a big year with her soccer team. They were like magic and ended up winning both sectionals and were also conference champs! That had not been done in 23 years! She got to have her photo (with the team) hung on the wall in the athletics wing and they all got to ring the victory bell as well. What an exciting time!!!

I received this pretty Vicki Boutin paper kit All the Good Things from The ScrapRoom when I told my friend how fantastic the kit was every month. What a lovely surprise that was and the papers were perfect for this page as our school colors are Black & Orange. I could also probably mention how our mascot is the Barbie Crow (Barbie...because Barbed Wire was invented here)

Here is the sketch I used. Isn't it fabulous? I love it and will be using it time and time again. I adore all the clusters. Head on over to Sketch N Scrap and let us see what you come up with.

SNS Layout #202

I have been working on getting my studio organized. Durring this organization I have discovered that I left out quite a few important layouts from 2013. I mean it was a HUGE year so I understand how I just missed them in the wonderful happy fog I was in. Anyway here is a fun page from when my middle daughter was selected to be in the District Art Show. This anchor was so super cool and she also made a splash base for the anchor to sit in.

We would love to see what you can come up with useing the newest sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

SNS Card Sketch #170

More Pure Innocence for you today. I simply adore this little gals. This one is acutally not one that I own. It is from a pre-stamped bin that I had, and I have been trying to use up the images. I have had some of them for decades! I love that when I grab a sketch I can just make any image and any set of paper work with it. Literally endless possibilities here.

So do you know any gardeners? Have they planted their gardens yet? We have a flower garden at our new house but I have hung up my gardener gloves on the veggies. I love to plant them and watch them grow until the weeks come. Then I look up a lot or over...anywhere except those darn weeds!

I always like to decorate the insides of my cards as well here is a peek at that.

SNS Layout #201

Hello have you all been having fun playing along with us this month? We hope you are getting a lot done. Today I have a great layout to share with you. I have had these photos for a while and just didn't know what I wanted to do with them and then I was working with this sketch and I just could envision exactly how I wanted this page to look. I also got to use some of my older stash which I always am happy to do. Can you spot the old stuff?

Actually I think the paper is old as well but the chipboard banner! I love banners and I love chipboard however for some reason I have never used these so on the page they went.

I used the Sketch N Scrap sketch #201 please share what you come up with.

Something a little different - Mad About Sketches

We are collaborating with Cookin up Creations where they are Mad About Sketches this month over at Sketch N Scrap!!!

We were asked to pick on our favorite sketches to be featured over there and I went with Sketch #112

I have been focusing on some stories from my 2013 album. These photos are some of the funniest I have ever taken as my middle daughter is making fun of me because I cannot peel hard boiled eggs. I had a total melt down one day when we were trying to make deviled eggs and I was in such a stressed out hurry I squeezed the eggs together and tossed them into the sink. She never lets me live it down. It has given us a million laughs and on this day she was making eggs and was struggling to peel them. She finally understood but still mocked and teased me as she pretended to be me. I caught it all on camera. For the journaling I asked her to text me what was going on in these photos so I have her version of the story.

The struggle is real folks! Can you peel eggs?

SNS Card Sketch #169

Today we have a fun card for you over at Sketch N Scrap!

Did you scrap your heart out over the weekend? I sure did. I was on crafty overload and might have even had a craft hangover on Monday. That is what I love about cards. They don't take as much time for me as a scrapbook page since I don't have to coordinate photos and journal and all that fun stuff.

Here is what I came up with today...though now that I am thinking about it I should have done something with a taco as I have a fun stamp with a taco...ok later my friends later. Until now you have ice-cream using one of my Pure Innocence girls.

Enjoy

Please join us all month long over at Sketch N Scrap we have a big birthday happening and all sorts of fun stuff. Hope to see you there :)

SNS NSD 2020

Whoo hooo hello everyone! Guess what day it is? You probably know it is National Scrapbook Day 2020!!!!

We have been working hard over at Sketch N Scrap this month so that we can have a wild time with all of you! This month also marks our 8th Birthday! We hope you enjoy all we have in store for you.

I was recently asked if I ever mix collections and where I fall on a scale of 1-10. Well I have to tell you I give myself a 1. I am terrible at it. However that really made me think why don't you mix and match?

I will tell you the truth, I am sensitive to color. Now that doesn't mean that I never have something look off or that I get it right every single time. I just find it easier to use the same companies line because then I don't have to worry about my colors not having the same saturation, tones, and depth.

I decided to give it a go for all of you thought! I have paper here from Close to my Heart, Bella Blvd, and a ephemera pack from Becki Adams. I went crazy! I also love how it ended up turning out.

I had some cute little candid shots of my little on reading one of her favorite books. These photos looked so cute  for this project and I love scrapping the everyday moments in life.

Well we hope that you will join us all month long for lot of fun and let us know if you like to mix manufacutres or if you stick to the same one when you scrap. Stop over at Sketch N Scrap we wil be doing fun stuff all month long!

SNS Layout #199

Hello everyone, today I have a layout to share using some adorable papers from the Shimelle Never Grow Up line which was one of the featured lines in my March “Flavor of the Month” Kit. So so happy my friend Lisa told me about that club, it is so fun getting a little sampling of new current lines.

My grandson thinks this dog at his other grandmas house is his even though it is her neighbors puppy. He said he is his best friend. Awwwww

I added some clusters to my page as I have been trying to work on layering.

I used this adorable sketch from Sketch N Scrap we would love to see what you come up with!

SNS Card Sketch #167

I have been organizing my studio since we moved into our new home in November. I have come so far but then I had to dig around and now it is a mess again. That tells me that I still have a lot of work to do as if it were more organized I wouldn’t need to dig for stuff I would know right where things are at.

I do know where my stamps are at as well as my coloring tools! I love coloring, I decided to pull out my prisma colored pencils and gamasol for this card. I pulled out one of my PI Girls. I love the Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things they are just so sweet.

Isn’t this paper so adorable adorable? It is from Shimelle’s Never Grow Up lime from the March “Flavor of the Month” Kit. I was also able to pull out some ribbon from Stampin’ Up! That I have had forever and ever as well as some Nuevo Drops....should I tell you I used those because I searched and searched for my little gems and couldn’t find them anywhere? I did end up finding them.

Next up is the inside of my card. I always try to coordinate the inside and often end up just adding some banners.

SNS Layout #194

Hello everyone hope you enjoyed January! Now we enter into the longest shortest month of the year.

I am finally settled into my space from the move however now I am trying to organize all of my goodies so I joined the Get Organized Challenge with Totally Tiffany. This has been great because I am really finding things I have forgotten and it will be so nice for my goodies to have a permanent home. Since I am still in the middle of working on the Get Organized Challenge I have been just printing and scrapping whatever I like. I sort of do this anyway but normally try to scrap chronologically at the same time scrapping current.

Anyway since I don't really have any photos ready to scrap I just grabbed some more cute ones of the grandbabies.  They are my favorite things to scrapbook anyway so it was a win win for me.

SNS Card Sketch #162

Hello everyone!

Today I have a card using some very old product from 2017, I have stuff that is much older that hopefully I will use up soon. I went to a crop recently and got a bunch of stuff done. It was a struggle to pack for it because I am trying to catalog my stamps before I settle into my room and put everything away. I am finding that I have hundreds of stamps and I hardly use them. So I am cataloging them so that I can put them to use in my scrapbooking. I already do use them for cards, just not nearly enough. I have always loved this set from CTMH called Brushed. The paper line is also called Brushed as this came from a Workshop on the Go Kit.

I made a card with the Sketch N Scrap card sketch #162.  We would love to see what you come up with. Be sure to link up with us over at the blog.

SNS Layout # 193

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We finally made our big move a couple of weeks before Christmas so we are still getting settled in. This has made it a little challenging to be creative however I have been taking loads of photos. I will have some fun pages to share with all of you in the near future.

I did manage to find super sweet photos of all of our grandchildren this Christmas. I sat with this sketch for a while and things just all sort of came together. I don't use circles much and I don't use gold much but I used both on this one and just fell in love with the result. I also am happy that I did a page on something that happened less than a month ago.

I used Sketch N Scrap Layout Sketch #191. We would love to see what you come up with so make sure you link up your page over at our blog.
