Love and Marriage...

Love and marriage,

Love and marriage
Go together
Like a horse and carriage
This I tell you brother
You can't have one without the other
Love and marriage, love and marriage
It's an institute you can't disparage
Ask the local gentry
And they will say it's elementary

Ok so call me a big dork I had no idea that ole Frank Sinatra sang this...here I thought it was Al Bundy. ROFL Just kidding.

So anyway a coworker asked if I could make err if I had any wedding cards. Well since I am also a slacker I am sort of out of most of my cards and I need to spend some evenigns crafting and building back up my stash...I am really looking forward to this. :) yay! Anyway back to the card I asked her what colors she needed and she said grey and light yellow so here is what I came up with.

I used the cute little Enjoy the Ride set from Papertrey Ink. I have had the set for a while and have wanted to sue it quite a few times and never have so was super happy with the way this all came together. On the inside I used Favor it Weddings with just the cute saying Hugs and Kisses from the Mr. & Mrs. I just think it is so cute!!
My daughter thought it needed a little more in the middle and so I ended up using Glitz from CTMH and adding it to each little diamond. It looks even better in real life.
I also added some organdy ribbon and some Opaques and wala...fun fard for the happy couple. I don't know if you could tell but the car is popped up.

Details - Black cardstock, Grey cardstock, Zippadee B&T Duos, Colonial White cardstock, Enljoy the Ride (PTI), Opaques, Organdy Ribbon

A little love

So hello here I am again. I hope you all are enjoying all of my activity. I have been having a surge of creativity and will tell you and show you why very soon. I am really enjoying having my mojo back!!! I have been trying to build up my cards and I still have a ways to go but one thing I thought I would do is cut a few card bases and then change out chust an element or stamp set to see how different I can make the cards look. So you probably remember this card from a few days ago, well here is what I came up with for a new version.

I did something really fun on this card...well it was all fun but I am pointing out the buttons and the brads. This will just give you a fun different look. I also masked the hearts and cut them out and popped them up.

Materials used : A Love, More to Adore, Ribbon, Buttons, Brads,

Lazy day...

I did absolutly nothing today exept be very lazy. It was well deserved as I was busy this past weekend working the Scrapbook Expo in Chicago...aka. in St. Charles. It was tons of fun and tons of work great pizza and it was so fun to get to know everyone better. Last year I subbed so I knew the basics but now that I got to see the whole thing from start to finish I am truely amazed. Since I was having a lazy day I stayed in my pj's and I watched movies, blogged twice {wow}, and enjoyed my girls. My hubby took care of dinner and we ordered out for lunch.

Here are some photo's

Extravaganza....wow!

Well a few weeks ago I broke my rule and posted pages with no photo's on this blog post.  Convention was amazing and inspiring yet I have had a hard time getting into my studio so I have things to share with all of you. I guess all that prep time and gone time really pushed the family over the edge as they have been needy and the girls have been arguing over even the littlest things. I could go on and on about this but I want all of you to actually stick around and come back, haha!!!

anyway I finally found a little time to myself to put my convention scrapbook together. I thought I would show you the the pages I made.

At convention we got to take these little mini classes at Extravaganza...it was amazing. I got to learn somee really cool things from my favorite bloggers.

The left side features:
Karen Pederson - here we learned all about Color Know How! How to use color to create mood as well as how different colors can completly transform the same set of photos
Doresa Lambrecht - here we learned all about the fabulous new Flip Flaps (just wait till you see these!)
Pam Beery - here we learned all about Glitter! Glitter makes everythink sparkle so this was fun.

On theright side of the page we have:

Melissa Laverty - here we learned some fancy boutique stuff. Using fashion and home decor to inspire our art as well as how to make some of those awesome trendy flowers.
Joyce Beenes - here we learned how to be irrisistable. lol just kidding we learned different techniques for emboss resist.
Beth Naumann - here we learned about getting the most from our Workshop On The Go packets. It is always so amazing at how many things you can make with one of these.
Sheila Wilkerson - here we learned about adding Dimension and making them Dynamite!
I have to say these ladies made this event go the very top of my convention memories. They were inspiring me with their blogs before and it was so amazing to get to learn from them in real life.

Little luv birds

So I was down in my studio this afternoon and I was going through some paper...paper that I love. As a matter of fact this was one if the first papers I ever bought way back before I was a CTMH consultant. I sat down to build up my card stash as I am very low. I was not in the market for love birds but this little darlings just started singing my name. Tweet tweet...
I really love the way it all came together not to mention using up some of my stash! I am trying to use it...I use to hord it but it is there to enjoy to love to play with and then to send off to make someone elses day special.
Here is the inside. I was going to add some more little chirpers in the bottom right corer but decided I loved it just like this.
Once I finished up I had to get back to my real life and make dinner and while I was cooking I remembered, not that I had forgotten or anything, that it is my anniversary in a few days...now if I want to I have a cute little anniversary card. It is a litlte pink but it is all lovey dovey so I think in the end it is ok. I might change my mind but in the mean time I wanted to show it to all of you because after sitting on this paper for so long I finally put a little love into it.
