Cherry O Sugar Pie

Today I am sharing a quick Sketch-n-Scrap page, I was so happy the whole time I made it and I knew it was going to just all come together.

These are just a few photos of my girls. They are just hanging out being extra adorable. I grabbed some Cherry-O paper. I think this paper always works with girl pages.

I have actually had this level 1 kit for a while but it was white and cherry's in every other space. I decided to fill in the cherry's and I love the way it turned out. I might take a second look at some other level ones I have and use them up too. I love getting new stuff but I also try to use up my old stuff too. I am doing much better. I no longer save it for the perfect layout. If i love it I use it now cause I can buy more or use the next new must have item.

I added some bling and a date. I need to work on my journalling but at least I have the date on here. Better than nothing.

Popped up the cherry's and added more bling

Love the way the title came out.

Here is the sketch! Isn't it super cute? I hope you will join us and play along...and use up either something brand new or something you have been holding on to forever.

and now here is a NEW page for you!

Did you feel like you had de`ja`vu` when you saw my last scrapbooking post of my girls at the park
well it was not you it was me. I had already blogged that a few weeks ago. The funniest part is I even gave them the same title!!! Summer fun here it is the first time. So before I posted this page I looked and looked and looked and it has not been blogged before. Yay.

I again used that adorable line from Simple Stories called 100 days of Summer.

I have really been trying to amp up all the little details when I scrapbook. That is why I love the Internet I see pages I love and discover why I love them it is all of those little added details. The punch, the popped up title. The bling here and there...this page over all is pretty simple but I think it came together pretty good.

The title is one of my favorite things about this page....It is the smile that keeps me outta trouble! Ha no truer words have ever been spoken!

How cute are these twisted flowers?
Bazil makes them.

So have you ever blogged the same thing before?

Scraptivations: Challenge 2

This time we had a really color challenge. We had to look at a photo and draw inspiration from it. I decided to pull the colors from it. Green, yellow, and brown. I have been trying to decide what I wanted to do with this inspiration and then today as I was going through photo's I came across this one of my oldest daughter Danielle. This was from a fun day when we went and took a ton of photo's for her senior photo shoot. This is the one we put in her graduation invatations.

I pulled this design off of a horizontal 8 1/2 x 11 PageMaps sketch. I don't really do that size so I just motified it to fit my needs.

I popped up a few of the circles to add some deminsion.

some chipboard letters

and some buttons and my new favorite fiskars punch. I also did jounaling in a white gel pen. I also took my journaling to a new level. Normally I just journal about the photo's but here I decided to write a message about how proud and how blessed I am. I think I will try and do this more for each of my girls. I know I would love to have something like that from my mom. I know she feels those things for me but when it is in writing...well it makes me a little mushy.

Here is the inspiration photo.

Won't  you come and join us over at Scraptivations?

I am a winner...whoot whoot

So something amazing happened to me. I won blog candy!

Fellow consultant Karen Pedersen whom is also a favorite blogger of mine has the most adorable grand-daughter who is always sporting this adorable floral headbands.  Well it turns out that her daughter actually makes these adroable headbands. In order to win all I had to do was help her get her daughter Kori get started and purchase one of these adorable flowers. Uh hello I have been eyeballing these baby bands for months so I thought I may as well give it a try since I have my very own cute babe` at home.

I ordered a band and a few flowers to go with it and they shipped super fast. I was so excited when I opened the box. They were even cuter in real life! Now I tried my best to capture the cuteness but Mai was not having it...so here are a few shots of two out of the three flowers that I ordered.

Here are a few shots of Maizie in the Small White Gerber Daisy  she was more interested in running and playing with her sisters than modeling...lol

Even though she was being so silly I was able to get her to swap out the bling and into the adorable Green Pom Pom Mum

She had a ton of other colors and styles and the quality was great so if you are looking for something a little different and super duper adorable I highly recomend her work you can find her over at Baby Bands & Bling

Testing her wings...

Most people woke up this morning so happy that is was Friday but not me. I woke up feeling a little sad, actually a lot sad. Today my baby is moving out, leaving the nest, flying the coop...today she is learning to fly.
When I woke up I thought about all the different stages first she learned to crawl, to walk, and then to run. She learned to talk to sing I tried to teach her to dance but she would have none of that!  She played sports she bowled she joined the youth group. She rode a big wheel, a scooter, a bicycle with training wheels...then the training wheels came off. Had her first crush, her first date, her first heartache. Learned to drive bought her first car, then her second...now she is on her third. LOL. She learned to color her nails, her face, and coordinate all her clothes. She went to her first dance. She was a daisy, a brownie and then a girl scout.
I made her try new things when she didn't want to, I made her try new foods, I relented and let her stop doing the things that she didn't like. When I first had her I was so scared to be doing it all on my own. I wobbled a few times but just like her as she learned all these things I think I got it right. I think she turned out  just as she was suppose to...my beautiful Dani Bell.

Now the real test starts did I teach her all the right things? Will she make all most of the right choices? Will she succeed?

I think yes. She has always been a bright cautious girl. She can be a little impulsive as young people are but she thinks things through and is not afraid to try new things or to change her mind. She knows who she is and what she wants. She knows how to work hard and to speek her mind. She knows how to stand up for herself and despite her small size she is incredibly strong. She is funny. She is beautiful. She is smart. She is anything she dreams of. She simply is...

Why I scrap

I made this album a few years ago using a great idea and a few sketches from November 2006 Mini PageMaps. I just kept turning the same four sketchs and made a super quick vacation album with the vacation line from Making Memories.

It is so nice now so see my little girl looking at the album as she just loves to look at it.

It makes scrapbooking so worth it. Just to see others look at my pages and smile as they rember the photo or look again and ask questions about the day. It is just well nice.
