SNS Card Sketch #146

When I saw the sketch for today with the really long quote. I instantly thought of this stamp set. Now it isn't a really long quote but one that makes me laugh every time I read it. It also make my friend laugh so I think I am going to send this one to her. I mean who doesn't love to get some random happy mail? Here is my  project using a card sketch from Sketch N Scrap #146

I also finally used my Stamparatus that I have had for several months and used only a few times (SU's version of the Misti). I wanted to get her hair super dark and so I stamped this image 3 times. After that I colored her dress wtih Copics and went over the top of it with some Wink of Stella. The dress looks very silky and has a beautiful sheen to it. I also added some Wink of Stella to the bow. The stamp set is an old one from Stampin' Up and that lovely paper is the fun Zoe paper that is only available as part of the bring back my pack until the end of the month.

Here is Card Sketch #146

We would love to see what you come up with so please link up over at our blog by the end of the month (exact dates and times can also be found over there)

SNS Layout Sketch #177

Hello everyone have you been scrapping like there is no tomorrow? I have been trying my best to get in lots of time to scrap. Today I am sharing a project using Sketch N Scrap #177

I had a lot of fun with this sketch. I got to use some more of my fun new The Scraproom kits featuring Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Sunny Days Parasol papers and using these photos reminded me of when my girls were a few years younger and it also reminded me of when I was a little girl and my dad would play superman with me. fun.

H2H Minty Fresh

Today over at Heart2Heart we are challenging all of you to use some Mint on your projects. It is also National Scrapbooking Month.  Have you gotten to do any scrapbooking? I have been trying my best to find some time to enjoy the craft that I have loved for so long. I hope you have managed to find some scrappy time as well. Now lets get to this weeks challenge:

Minty Fresh...I really adore this color and was happy to be able to use it. I decided to go full on monocromatic here although I did add a bit of color to the hair of each of the girls and I also used a light grey for the shape, though I don't feel it distracts at all from all the minty freshness in this card.

Please join us and share your challenge over at H2H by May 31st.

H2H National Scrapbook Month - Sweet Girl

Today over at Heart2Heart we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Month.  Have you done any scrapbooking yet ? We would love to see it if you have and if you have not found the time we would love to inspire you with our newest  challenge which is, well to scrapbook!  Close to my Heart has the most beautiful collection -The World is Yours it is perfect for any project or adventure.

When I got this Sweet Girl Workshop Your Way collection I just fell in love. I have a family full of girls. I was going to do a page about my littlest granddaughter but then I decided i wanted to capture my youngest instead. She is such a sweet sweet girl and I just love her great big smile in this photo. I didn't change much from the guide just a little here and there with the Sapphire Crochet Threat and the fact that I turned it into a single page, though I might go back in and add some more journaling below or add a second page with some photos of what was making her smile this big...hint it was dolphins jumping next to our boat.

I hope you enjoyed scrapping your heart out this past weekend. Now we would love to see some projects from you!  Please join us and share your challenge over at H2H by May 31st.

SNS Layout Sketch #176 - all dolled up

Hello everyone are you ready to get your scrap on this month??? It is our (scrapbookers) month to party it up! Whoop whoop!! I am sharing a project today featuring a fabulous sketch from Sketch N Scrap #176

A few months ago I joined The ScrapRoom which is a fun kit club where they do "Flavors of the Month" I think it is great because you get a little bit of this and a little bit of that but plenty to make you feel like you have the super cute current scrapbook goodies without having to go shop for all of it and spend way to much. It is a the perfect amount to make a couple of pages and some cards and maybe still have a little left. I have loved what I have gotten so far though you would never know because this is the first time I have used it! Anyway this paper was in my first kit. The papers are from Crate Paper and it is called Main Squeeze. It was so fun to work with and it is so cute. Anyway if you are looking for a cute kit club that won't break the bank give them a try.

Sketch #176 is wonderful because it has several photos and I always love a lot of photos on a page.

We would love to see what you come up with so please link up over at our blog by the end of the month (exact dates and times can also be found over there)

SNS Layout Sketch #175

This past summer two of my girls went on the trip of a lifetime with their grandma to Hawaii. I have not really scrapbooked any of the photos yet but when I saw this sketch I came up with an idea for one that they sent me of them at a luau.

Here is a close up of the island and the flowers. I also have a little x on the island they were on.

I did something I have not done if forever and that is journal with a white pen. I knew exactly how I wanted this layout to look and had to go and purchase a new pen just so I could complete this one. I do love how it turned out.

Here is the original sketch, I hope you can join us over at Sketch n Scrap. We would love to see what you came up with.

H2H Weather - April Calendar

Today over at Heart2Heart we are doing a "Weather" or Not challenge. April Showers bring May Flowers...right?? We had such a brutal winter this past season and so I was so ready for spring this year.

At the beginning of the year I decided I wanted to scrapbook a calendar page each month and then if I found events or fun things throughout the month I wanted to do a page on I would do that. so far it is going good and I have been having a lot of fun with it. I thought this months challenge for H2H would be perfect since April Showers bring May Flowers.

I only have a couple photos on it now because the month just started. I was lucky enough to receive a cannon selphy for Christmas and I have the ability to print little photos that fit into my calendar pages. I also will print out some larger ones that are my favorites.

Here is a close up of the title

and the pages by themselves

This month my calendar features the beautiful Feels Like Home paper kit from Close to my Heart. Please make sure you show us what you come up with for the Weather Challenge over at the Heart 2 Heart blog. Also take some time to check out what the other designers came up with.

SNS Card Sketch #143

Hi everyone back again sharing another card with you. I was making a project and came across this cute cut in Cricut Design Space. My mom got remarried last year and just had her first anniversary. I thought this image would just make the cutest anniversary card and so I used it with this fun sketch from Sketch n Scrap.

We would love to see how you use the sketch so please join us over at the Sketch n Scrap blog.

H2H Challenge - You are my sunshine

Today over at Heart2Heart we are doing a color challenge.  Emerald, Smoothie, Canary, Peach, and Glacier.

Here is what I came up with.

I ended up using Smoothie, Canary, Peach and Glacier for my card. Here is another look.

Don't you love the little hearts? They are a puffy sticker. When I was little I had a sticker collection featuring puffy stickers. We stuck them to sandwich baggies and would trade them at recess in grade school. How I wish I still had that.

Here is a peek at the inside.

Does this paper look familiar? I have exciting news for you! Close to my Heart has a new special this month called Bring Back My Pack and they brought one of my favorite papers back Zoe from 2015. They have updated to colors and have a brand new coordinating 12 x 12 sticker sheet.

We would love to see what you come up with over at the Heart 2 Heart Blog and be sure to check out what the other designers did this week. See you soon!

Today over at Heart2Heart we are doing a Favorite Tool challenge. Do you have a favorite? I seem to always have my Cricut on hand whenever I craft.  Would you believe there was a time that I didn't use it? I just couldn't figure out what to do with it. I had seen what it could do on TV and knew I had to have one, I eventually got it and it sat and sat and sat for almost a year. One day a neighbor came over to sell come Girl Scout Cookies and I invited her in so I could see what everyone wanted and she saw me stamping...the joke goes I got her addicted to stamping and she got me addicted to my Cricut.

Now I rarely craft without involving my Cricut I love the versatility and options with all of the images. Close to my Heart has several cartridges with exclusive images on each one. The best part is many of them coordinate with our stamps.

I decided to make a birthday card for my older brother who recently turned 50! I pulled some supplies together and got busy.

Here is what I came up with.

I always love to add a few banners to the inside of the card to tie it together with the front.

Card stock - White Daisy, Black
Paper - Something Fierce
Ink - Black, Poppy
Stamps - Just a Number (Retired), This Happened - March Stamp of the Month
Other - Cricut Artfully Sent (Retired), Black Dots

SNS Layout Sketch #173 - 1 Awesome Dinosaur Adventure

More grand-kids and dinosaurs this week for this fun sketch. Our son and daughter-n-law recently went to Jurassic Quest and our grandson just had the time of his life. I thought these Something Fierce papers would be adorable to document these photos.

Here is a close up of the journaling block.

Here is the title I layered several elements to create it. I thought it was fun.

Here is the sketch, we would love to see what you come up with over at the Sketch N Scrap blog.

SNS Card Sketch #141

I have been trying to do a couple of things lately, use up my old stock and build up my card inventory. Here is used up the last of my paper from a January 2011 Kit from Personal Scrapper one of my favorite kit clubs I belonged to.

The paper was a winter line from Echo Park. I also had this flower from a CTMH line that I have also had for a good long time. I have come to realize that I love establishments but often fail to use them so I am going to be trying to make sure I dig around in my stash and embellish my cards.

The sketch today from Sketch N Scrap is #141 and it is a cute one with lots of banners. I always love projects with banners.

Here is the original sketch. We hope you can play along with us we would love to see what you come up with.
