BFF's

This is my girl and her BFF forever. They have been friends for a loooong time. They met in the second grade and have had each others back's ever since. They can do nothing for hours on end and have the time of their lives. They also have no problem being silly, making each other laugh, and being there when you need a shoulder. I hope you all have a friend or two like this as well.

This is a page that I finished while I was on a weekend get away. I was super happy with the weekend. I have not done a weekend scrap in so long. I was not sure if I packed enough but one thing for sure I did not want to pack to much. This is what I used to do all the time! This time I just tossed some kits in my travel bin, some embellishments, added some stamps, photo's and basic black ink and off I went. I am going to do it the same way the next time I go in October. This is part of a PS kit that is almost gone and now I even have less of it. You will probably see more of this kit in the near future as a set of cards. that is how I usually finish off my paper. In fact I have been making cards all day. I will try to share those with you this weekend. In the mean time enjoy the show.

I popped up my banner to give the page some texture. I also used my favorite fiskars bracket punch.

Did a little stamping with a journal set from PTI

and here you can see these awesome little pebbles I thought they were hard but when I peeled it off the sheet I found that they are flexible. i loved them and wish I had known sooner that they were a little squishy. Since they were blue I added them to all of the blue circles and to the center of the flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you again soon with some cards :)

Great America Fun...the whole kit and Caboodle

Here are a few more pages from the Caboodle papers using the Workshop on the Go kit. Love it...these pages are cool as you would not think of this kit for the Great America amusment park but they totally work.  Fun fun fun...

First I will show you a few close ups of the page just because I love all the little details. It turns an average page into a page that you might say WOW that looks fun and WOW I could do that and WOW I love it!

I love this new Cocktail Alphabet set it is so playful and I did not have anything else like it so I knew it was a must have for me.

Here I took a deminsional element and added some journaling and some ribbon. I also stamped the cute little circle in Crystal Blue and popped it up with a pop dot.

Also notice that tower in the back ground...do you see the little dot next to it? That is my daughter and her friend! Yikes!!
Here they are getting ready to go up into the bungie swing. Notice the cute arrow and the little tab. I love these tabs they are even cuter in real life.
Ok finally here is the whole page isnt' it so adorable? I love the way it turned out. It helps that my subjects are so darn cute.

And here is the second page of them getting off the crazy ride still smiling. I think they would have done it again if they had another $20

Did you notice...
  • stamping around the photo mat
  • stamping around the journal mat
  • the ink all around the page to tie it all together
  • the visual triangles of color and product and even photo's between both pages
I really had fun doing this WOTG Kit and who would have thought that Great America pages would have worked so well with it. Some of the other people in the class did photo's at the river, some friend photo's and some self portriats. Everyone had very cute pages and they all looked a little diferent.

Remember the Workshop on the Go kits are only available durring the current catalog so if you want any of the current kits Caboodle, Veranda, Top Stitch, or You Rock get yours before the end of the month. They come with embelishments, an exclusive stamp, set and step by step instructions.

Fun in th sun...

My Savannah has to be my most adventurous child and so creative too. One time she went fishing off of a the front porch with a stick and a throw rug. When I was little I used to get pretty creative with Barbies but she comes up with some doozies!  Since it we are having a bit of a warm spell in my neck of the woods I thought I would present to you ... ba ba ba bam ... the Hillbilly Pool! Since we didn't have one she made up her own...with yep as you can see garbage cans! I looked out back to check on them and was horrified at first and then I laughed and then I ran for the camera, if this isn't a kodak moment I don't know what is. Bonus: They might be good blackmail pictures for her future boyfriend.

Isn't this paper so cute. It is again from PersonalScrapper it is a Kit from July 09 and I was so happy to use up the kit the same month I got it. It only had a little bit of that fun paper with sunshine and fourishes but and so I just used a white gel pen and doodled all over the page. I am not so sure doodling is still the in thing to do but I love how it turned out on this page.

Oh and for all of you that are wondering...the garbage cans were clean ones!

The pony couldn't keep up...

As many of you know we have been on the move. Well we have been having mail problems spaciffically we did not recieve mail for almost a whole month. Wait actually it was about a month. It all started when we moved for the first time this year from our rental. What happened is we thought we were going to buy one house and ended up living in it for about 3 months. It fell though...good thing...super cute but way to small for a family of 5. So we moved again but we couldn't close fast enough so we had to move into a motel. Yikes! The first one my hubby chose was such a dive and very scary. Scary scary and he works third shift eeek! After a week we moved into a regular hotel and it felt like a 5 star resort! haha We stayed there...all FIVE of us in one room with two beds. Yep good times...good times. We finally closed on our house and we could not be happier. The mail has not been so happy. One week...two weeks...finally I came home on Tuesday and had this big stack staring at me. My hubby said his pile was also this big! WOW

Can you beleive out of this whole stack I only had one good peice of mail and that was this cute card from my friend Patti. She is a big reason why I stamp. She brought me over to the dark side with her and it has been a ton of inky fun ever sense! Personally it makes me giggle to compare the stack of mail with the height of the card.

Here is a close up so you can see the cute bling at the top. My favorite part of the card though...what is written inside. It is so true that a card can really brighten someones day. This one sure did brighten mine.

Update - I forgot to tell you all the rest of the story! LOL The mail when it finally came had our original old address on it and some of it had the 3 month address. When I filled out the change of address slip the first time, and when my husband did it the second time. We only put our most recent move on there and I think it tripped up the system. Somehow I only ended up with two small past due bills. Not bad for such a big stack.
