I just thoght this months stamp of the month was just so adorable!! As I thought about what I wanted to do and what paper I wanted to use I was tossing ideas back and forth to a friend. I was also telling her how I wanted to use Zipadee in a way other than an amusment park and she said...well it matches your house. I was like oh you are brilliant I have been wanting to do a where I've been page. So without furthur ado here you go...where I have been and where I am

we bought our first home as a family last year and we could not be happier!

Cocktail alpha...love it. The H and M are popped up

Some close ups of the excitement I felt...sorry for the blurry photo

now the crazy truth...where we were. Mark moved into my house and we lived there 8 months then we figured we should move to his cause well he owned it. Can we say tiny...yikes we stayed here for 2 years it was suppose to be for 6 months. Thank God I had a baby because that made it way way to small for our family of now 5. Then we moved into a big beautiful old home but alas it was money pit so we bailed and decided not to buy. Onto the last house..our "summer home" we were going to buy this but the sale fell through thank God because it was way way to small and we would have been settling and then one day we were looking at another house that was not going to work and we went to look at ours simply cause we had extra time. It was our of our price range BUT we fell in LOVE and had to have it. We crunched numbers and decided we could definatly aford that beauty as it had everything we wanted plus things we didn't think we would get....yippeeee we are home! We are in love...we are happy.

Great America Fun...the whole kit and Caboodle

Here are a few more pages from the Caboodle papers using the Workshop on the Go kit. Love it...these pages are cool as you would not think of this kit for the Great America amusment park but they totally work.  Fun fun fun...

First I will show you a few close ups of the page just because I love all the little details. It turns an average page into a page that you might say WOW that looks fun and WOW I could do that and WOW I love it!

I love this new Cocktail Alphabet set it is so playful and I did not have anything else like it so I knew it was a must have for me.

Here I took a deminsional element and added some journaling and some ribbon. I also stamped the cute little circle in Crystal Blue and popped it up with a pop dot.

Also notice that tower in the back ground...do you see the little dot next to it? That is my daughter and her friend! Yikes!!
Here they are getting ready to go up into the bungie swing. Notice the cute arrow and the little tab. I love these tabs they are even cuter in real life.
Ok finally here is the whole page isnt' it so adorable? I love the way it turned out. It helps that my subjects are so darn cute.

And here is the second page of them getting off the crazy ride still smiling. I think they would have done it again if they had another $20

Did you notice...
  • stamping around the photo mat
  • stamping around the journal mat
  • the ink all around the page to tie it all together
  • the visual triangles of color and product and even photo's between both pages
I really had fun doing this WOTG Kit and who would have thought that Great America pages would have worked so well with it. Some of the other people in the class did photo's at the river, some friend photo's and some self portriats. Everyone had very cute pages and they all looked a little diferent.

Remember the Workshop on the Go kits are only available durring the current catalog so if you want any of the current kits Caboodle, Veranda, Top Stitch, or You Rock get yours before the end of the month. They come with embelishments, an exclusive stamp, set and step by step instructions.

Another happy little flower card

So I all of a sudden just wanted to use stuff I have had forever and ever. I have had this adore paper for several years as a matter of fact it was the first paper I ever bought from CTMH way before I signed up to be a consultant. I just think this card is adorable...pun intended.

I know this card is just a little card for a freind. I added some depth with the buttons.

I actually was super happy with the end result and can't wait to send it off and make someones day.
Have a happy day :)

1-2-3 a little flower for me!

This week over at Heart 2 Heart Challenge it is a 1-2-3 challenge.

*Use 1 stamped image (not 1 set, but 1 image)

*Use 2 different patterned papers
*Use 3 embellishments - these can be 3 of the same thing or 3 different things

I was like pht...I got this in the bag I have lots of patterned paper that I have been wanting to mix and match and I have stamps and embelishments. Well let me just say this really was a challenge! It is much harder than it sounds.

After lots and lots of digging and pulling out and putting back I decided on my colors and my patterns. I picked the Crystal Blue patterned paper from Twitterpatted and the Hollyhock pattern paper from Bella. I like the way the celery cardstock looked with that combo so now I needed to find the stamp. I decided to go with my new found old love Cottage Floral.

since it is a flower and I need a stemp for it I decided to just use cardstock and one of my embelishments for it. I tied some ribbon around the stem for the leaves and added a button for the inside of the flower. Then I cut the grass with my paper snips. I though the perfect place for my third embelishment would be my eyelets. I added the eyelets to the pattern paper and made the color pop with some white behind it and wala my finished card. I hope you like it.

I hope you can join in on these challenges they are just so much fun. Alright well I am off today I am going to go make some more cards and maybe even a scrapbook page or two.

Spotlight on Veranda...soft delicate elegant memories

I would like to welcome you to the spotlight blog hop. If you came from Lori's blog then you are in the right place. If you just happened to come along my blog today please feel free to hop on over to the others to see what current paper pack they featured this month. Each month we try to use what we have and showcase all the awesome things that can be done. I decided to use a Veranda Level 1 kit. I looked though my photos and saw my girls...aww I have had these photos for over 10 years. I thought it was about time I put these lovely photos in a book. I have always just loved them and have a big giant one that hangs on my wall.

Up above you see some stitching, actually it is faux stitching done with Something Special I love this little set because it is so versital. I also used the My Stickease that comes in the kit. Here is the page
I also used the little butterflies from Just Blooms

Next I want to move on to a memo board that was cased from Doresa Lambrecht she did such an amazing job with it I didn't change a thing.

Next I did some cards

Wow can you beleive that this is all still from a level one kit???
The first card again uses the Spring Just Blooms and the Stamp of the Month this month Flower Pot and Authentic I also watercolored on this card.

Next is a simple card with some layers of stamps from Authentic

Scince I wanted this to look layered I stitched using the little stamp from above again and then I sponged around each of the parts of the level one base to make it look like separate peices. I also added a little butterfly for some demension.

Last but not least is a card with a flower that was inspired by my daughters purse. I took 6 punched circles and glued them down at the base. I then curled them up and put a big brad in the center to bring it all together. I thought it was a pretty fun flower and I hope you like it too.
There is no stamping on this card.

Here is the whole kit all together

Now hop on over to Carols blog and see what she came up with.

Heart 2 Heart challenge 1 - Extreme Happiness

Heart 2 Heart has a color challenge this week and that is to use Sweet Leaf, Sunflower and Cocoa on a project. I started a few different cards and finally came up with this one. I just LOVE this stamp set and have not used it in the longest time. I scored the paper and sanded it down to white added three brads some ribbon and mounted teh sweet leaf onto the cocoa. Then I stamped the flowers in cocoa stamped off and made the edges darker by rolling the stamp back into the cocoa ink then cut them out. I also added some liquid glass and glitter to the ends of the flowers.
I hope you like it. I can't wait to see what the next challenge it at H2H

A belated Happy Easter

I was working on Easter pages recently and had so much fun looking at how the girls have grown. You can especially see it in Maizie. Here she is this year.

Here she is her first Easter.
I used the Caboodle Workshop on the Go for these pages as I thought they would work perfect. I changed it up a little bit to suit my needs and added some photo's as I like a lot of photo's. These pages are extra special as my husbands grandmother passed away this past year and so I made sure to print an extra photo for my MIL of her mom and Maizie...oh how she loved babies.

Fast Fabulous Friday card share

A while back I was asked to make a get well card for a co-worker who had surgery. I knew right away I waned to use this stamp set and paper. I always found it sweet and cheery. The over all card was pretty simple and super fast to make I hope you enjoy it. The flowers are die cut and popped up and I added a little liquid glass to the green spots. I hope to have some scrapbook pages to share over the weekend.
