ICU - Get Well Soon

Have you seen the super cute sketch that was just released at Sketch N Scrap or been over to our Facebook page?

I had a lot of fun with this sketch, I also just picked up this funny stamp set a few weeks ago as I have been needing to build up my card inventory and I noticed I really don't have very many get well or thinking of you cards.

I was also happy to make a masculine card as well as use up some of my stash that I have had forever and a day. I used some copper brads from Stampin' Up! That adorable bronze glitter ribbon from Close to my Heart, some very old pattern paper that I cut up that was from a kit and that teal cardstock that has been in my scrap bin for a good long time.

Here is our May 20th card sketch. To play along head over to the Sketch N Scrap blog.

Sweet Baby Girl

Hello back again with an exclusive Birthday Bash Crop challenge

My daughter takes the most adorable photos of my grandkids and this one is one of my favorites of my youngest one at 6 months.

I used some papers from the Beautiful Friendship Kit and love the feel of the page and as I was adding the finishing touches I noticed my kit had a sticker that said "Pearls are always appropriate" I also finished up the page with some pearls instead of my normal bling. I am loving how it all came together, but I am little bit biased with the subject matter. I also used some PML cards for the middle parts. You don't only have to use those in pocket scrapbooking projects. Often time they are perfect page elements.

Let see what you come up with for Birthday Bash Sketch #2:

Dreaming of Summertime

Hello back again with our May 15th Sketch...so many sketches this month I hope you are inspired!

Here I am using up some more of my Echo Park sticker sheet...go me! I thought it would be fun to make a page about summer because I have been itching for some good weather. Here in the Midwest winter has been holding on and every time we have a nice day and think spring is finally here, it is followed by snow. Even my daughter has said enough! She loves snow so you know it has been to much this time.

Stop by our blog to link up with today's sketch and for a chance to win a prize through the end of May.

Flowers for Grandma 6th Birthday Bash - Guest Designer Spot

Have you ever wanted to be on a Design Team?

Have you ever thought about trying out?

At Sketch-N-Scrap we have Guest Designers! This is a perfect way to try out the Design Team life and see if it is all you thought it would be. We would love to have you enter into the 6th Birthday Bash Crop Designer Challenge.

I decided to scrapbook these photos from last summer of my oldest granddaughter picked me some flowers. I must say they are the prettiest little flowers I have ever seen, but I might be biased

I used some Bella Blvd paper called Campout. I have been bashing this line for a few months and only have a little bit left. I was happy when I had enough letters to spell out flowers. I fussy cut some paper to make the flower embellishments.

Here is the sketch to use:

Lazy Days SNS #NSD2017

Hello back again with challenge 4

Today we have this sketch and our TWIST is up using balloons or hearts...or both on your layout. I decided to scrapbook a few more of these fun park photos with my little on and my grandson.

I have also been trying to bash up some of my stash and so I challenged myself to use up this sticker sheet that I have from Echo Park. I was able to match up some Dotty for You paper from CTMH that is also real old but matched just perfect and came up with this fun page that features a large balloon...a hot air balloon.

Here is a close up of this cute balloon. I have been wanting to use this thing for years and was so happy to have the perfect photos and the perfect challenge to use it up.

Here is just another angle where you can see the layers and the little gems that I have also been using on lots of stuff. They are my new favorite embellishment.

Celebrating my gram

Hello back again with Birthday Bash Crop challenge #2

We thought we would see what we could do with our very 1st sketch from 2012 and TWIST it up using the word CELEBRATE somewhere in the layout.

I am truly blessed that I get to celebrate my grandma every year. She is blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

I have been using up some more of my sticker sheet that I am trying to use up this month. I also used some Flip Flaps this is a PERFECT way to add more photos to a page.

A close up of some of the details.

Journal blurb.

Baby Blast

My daughter called me and asked me if there was anyway I could make her a couple of cards I of course said yes I sure can. She needed it asap and whenever I have to come up with a good idea quick I always always always grab a sketch.

I decided to see what I could come up with for this fun card sketch #121 from Sketch N Scrap.

I had this super cute Stargazer paper from the last Seasonal Expressions Catalog from CTMH that I had not had time to play with yet. I decided to just use the PML card and cut out the Rocket Ship which I popped up with some tape. Then I stamped the sentiments and added the little jewels.

This card took about 20 minutes and the bulk of that was picking out the papers and deciding where to put my gems.

Here is the inside of the card.

A close up so you can see some of the details.

Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday

Did you enjoy our little pre-party action yesterday? I am here today to show off our first Birthday Bash challenge.

We thought we would have a little fun with this sketch from National Scrapbook Day 2015 and TWIST it up a little. On this page I have used SIX items (get it 6th birthday...took me a minute lol) that has been in my stash for over TWO years. Now we all know how I have been working hard to bash my stash lately so it was not a problem to find old stuff in my studio.

So all items used on this page are over 2 years old

  1. So we have 5 hot pink buttons came in a kit. They are a little to tall for me to be on a page but they were such a perfect match that I just ran with it. from 2010
  2. The word TEN was made using some Thickers that have a texture to them from 2014
  3. Green, Hot Pink, and Bright Blue cardstock - 2011
  4. Pattern Paper - 2011 from Be You - Fancy Pants
  5. Happy Birthday (the white words) - That was a strip from Simple Stores I believe it has been in my drawer with zip strips for about 3 or 4 years
  6. Fussy Cut Heart - from 2011
Even my pop up tape is older it is from around 2010 I got them in a grab bag from a 3M sale sadly I am on my last roll

You know what isn't old...those photos are from my little ones last birthday in December - go ME

NDS 2018 Stacked STL

Today is the day ~ National Scrapbook Day 2018!!!

Whoo hoooo - are you scrapbooking? I am at a day crop today scrapping with new and old friends.

I have been pulling bright colors these days. Maybe it is because winter went extra long this year and I have the need for bright floral colors that you find on tulips. I am happy to report that spring has officially sprung here in the midwest.

Last year my husband, oldest daughter and myself drove to pick up my middle daughter from AIT and on the way home we stopped off and some fun roadside attractions along Route 66. Since we were already doing fun things we decided to have a bite in Saint Louis and so I pulled up our options and we ended up at this yummy hamburger place.

It has be a long time since I have only used cardstock on a page. I also used up some stickers from a Simple Stories birthday line. If it is wrong that I used a spotted cow to offset my title I don't wanna be right. ;) I also added some journaling along the side of the page because this was a story that just had to be told.

Here is a sketch just for NSD 2018

I hope you find some time today to do something scrapy.

Happy Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap

Lets get this Birthday Bash 6th Birthday Party started! How about a little pre-crop fun?

I can't believe SNS is turning 6. It seems like just yesterday that my friend Lisa was talking about getting a sketch blog started. I was so excited when she gave me the opportunity to be on one of the first Design Teams. Life got a little bit crazy and I had to step down but I would still play along when I could here and there. I was THRILLED last year when life had settled down and I could rejoin the team.

So Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap here is to many many more!

I made this card with 4 different Picture My Life cards from the cut-aparts in Chelsea Gardens. Even though I decided to do a combination of regular scrapbooking and scrapbooking in a large planner this year I love the PML cards as they are always a great way to make a fast card. Pair that with a sketch and it is easy peasy!

Love Story with SNS #152

I have had these photos laying around for a few months. I printed them because they were just so super cute. They capture perfect moments between my oldest daughter and my little grandson.

I thought this sketch from SNS would be perfect and I have some paper left over from a class I took using the Chelsea Gardens paper pack.

I was also thrilled to use up some old stuff out of my stash. I have had these glitter elements and stickers for a some time, well if I am honest not nearly as long as other things in my stash but still a long time haha.

Here is Sketch #152 I would love to see your take on it.
