Scrapbooking scrapbooking scrapbooking!

I have been scrap-booking up a storm lately. I typically try to keep current or somewhat current...ya know in this decade.

My go to starting point is to use sketches! It is how I start almost every page. Mainly because after I have decided what photos and what papers I want to use I just want to get it down on the paper. Not to mention that is just how I roll. Even before I was a paper crafter I would work like that. If I had a project that I needed to draw or paint. I always did much better if I could just look at an example first and then work from there. Still life, an assignment, a pattern. I am creative I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

I love using our Close to my Heart pattern books. I also love using sketches from sketch blog...my favorite being Sketch N Scrap's sketches.

Today I have TWO projects to show you. The first one is for our Heart 2 Heart challenge using the FREE Magic Sketch that Jeanette Lynton shared on her blog not long ago.

My second project is using this adorable sketch from Sketch N Scrap SNS #163 I have been wanting to scrapbook these photos from a few years ago for a while and I thought that the You Are Here collection would be just perfect for our road trip.

I hope you can come and play along with us you have until the end of the month both challenges are open through the end of the month. Good luck!!

SNS WCMD #2 - Hi There

Another card using up my Jillybean Soup kit. I just love how playful it is. I did some die cutting using the Close to my Heart stitched circles and some fussy cutting adding that little owl into the tree.

I added another little owl inside the card but I left it blank because I am not sure if I want to go with "hang in there" or "lets hang out".

I hope you have been making some cards. I have been enjoying WCMD and all the card making that goes along with it! We would love to see what you come up with for WCMD Sketch #2

Stop over at our blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has been up to or over to our Facebook Page where we have a On-Line Crop happening. Link up your project by October 31st at 9:55 pm CST.

Have you been able to join in with us over at the Sketch N Scrap Pumpkin Spice Crop?  Today I wanted to show you another one of my postcards that I made this past summer for the Reset Girl's Camp Reset Postcard Swap...I love a good swap!!

/This will be my last postcard that I share I hope you like it I didn't do much stamping with this one I used some more of my card bases that I have pre-cut to 4-6 so I can use it on cards or pocket scrapbook pages. I used a lot of cut apart flowers on this post card.

Welcome to our Pumpkin Spice Crop I have another postcard for you, and this one was my favorite one that I made. It just all came together and I used up quite a few scraps from my bin. I have had those US cut outs for a while. I made this last winter when I was trying to bash even more of my stash. I also used a stamp set that I have had for at least 6 years.

Here is the sketch for Challenge #3 I hope you can play along with Card Sketch #61 we would love to see what you come up with.

Thinking of You - WCMD #1

Have you made any cards today for World Card Making Day? Do you have a fun event that you are planning on going to? Hope on over to the Sketch N Scrap blog to play along with us!

I made this card using up some of my left over Chelsea Gardens papers, that paper is just so pretty and perfect for Thinking of You cards.

I did something I have never done on this card and put a little bit of fiber on the inside of the card too. I like it and I might try it again.

SNS Card 131 - Hello

Have you been crafting? I have been doing a lot of organizing and a squeezing in crafting here and there. I did manage to make several cards and a project for my grand-daughters 1st birthday coming up real soon.

I decided that I have had this paper from Jillybean Soup  for long enough. I got it in a kit in 2011 and have always loved it cause it is just so cute and playful.

I used this fun sketch from SNS Card Sketch #131

Hop on over to our blog and see what the other designers came up with.
