SNS Layout Sketch #173 - 1 Awesome Dinosaur Adventure

More grand-kids and dinosaurs this week for this fun sketch. Our son and daughter-n-law recently went to Jurassic Quest and our grandson just had the time of his life. I thought these Something Fierce papers would be adorable to document these photos.

Here is a close up of the journaling block.

Here is the title I layered several elements to create it. I thought it was fun.

Here is the sketch, we would love to see what you come up with over at the Sketch N Scrap blog.

SNS Card Sketch #141

I have been trying to do a couple of things lately, use up my old stock and build up my card inventory. Here is used up the last of my paper from a January 2011 Kit from Personal Scrapper one of my favorite kit clubs I belonged to.

The paper was a winter line from Echo Park. I also had this flower from a CTMH line that I have also had for a good long time. I have come to realize that I love establishments but often fail to use them so I am going to be trying to make sure I dig around in my stash and embellish my cards.

The sketch today from Sketch N Scrap is #141 and it is a cute one with lots of banners. I always love projects with banners.

Here is the original sketch. We hope you can play along with us we would love to see what you come up with.

H2H Invitation Only

Invitation Only!!

Over at Heart 2 Heart this week we are extending some invitations. At first you might just think about a wedding invitation or a birthday invitation however there are so many other fun things that you can use invitations for.

Weddings
Showers
Birthdays
BBQs
Dinner Party
Girls Night
Card Night
A Weekend Getaway
Book Club (that is what I did :))
Spa Party
Tea Party

The list is just endless. Decide what you want to get together and do and have fun making some cute invitations.

I used some more of my Something Fierce Kit to make up a bookmark, with hand lettering, and a matching card. I just cannot get enough of that paper pack.

I used the fun torn paper file from the Artbooking cartridge but you could also use the Thin Cut Borders for this. I found the book club cut in Design Space.

I used some gems and popped up my book-club invite to give it a little something extra.

Here is a simple matching book mark that everyone will receive when they come to book club.

I hope you will join us this month at H2H and make sure you take a look at what the other designers came up with.

H2H Favorite Recipe - Caramel Apple Pie

This week at Heart 2 Heart we are featuring our favorite recipes. Now this does not have to be a recipe that you cook it can be your favorite sketch or your go to design elements. It can be one of those fun challenges where you add elements to your page as if you were using a recipe. We would love to see and hear what you come up with.

I seem to go back and forth between loving to cook and not really loving it so much. One thing is for sure. I love collecting recipe's. Sadly I have lost some of my favorites over the years due to moving, moving, and moving again. I mainly cook but I like to dabble in baking and a few years ago I decided to tackle a pie for the first time!

I scoured the internet for the perfect pie and came across this one at Allrecipes it turned out perfect! I knew I had a keeper on my hands. I have made it two more times and each time it is just soooo good! Last year I also took a few photos while I made it so I thought I would put it in my recipe book featuring my favorites. That way I wont lose my beloved recipes anymore.

I hope you have time to try it and that you love it. I used the adorable new I Heart Us kit

Make sure you check out what the other designers came up with over at H2H and link up your project.

SNS Layout Sketch #170 - Date Night

Here is what I came up with this week for this fun sketch. We went to Florida in November and after record breaking temperatures here in Illinois this week I am missing it terribly. Since we are stuck here working I could at least scrapbook it and remember how wonderfully warm the sand was between my toes.

When we  were in Florida a few years ago we went down to Fort Myers and tried to catch a sunset but it was overcast. This time we tried again and were not disappointed. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved shadow photos in front of sunsets. They used to have several cards like that at Hallmark in the late 70's early 80's, does anyone remember that?

Here is a close up of my little Date Night title. I cut it out from a picture my life card and then thought this sticker was just perfect.

I have to say I love how this all came together. I have had this CTMH No Worries paper for quite a while and have used a little of it here and there. I was afraid the background would fight again the sunset in the photo but it really complimented it instead.

Here is the sketch, we would love to see what you come up with over at the Sketch N Scrap blog.
